Though there is still quite a while to wait until it shows up in the markets, the 2012 BMW M6 has been spotted by auto paparazzi during testing. Some of the latest images captured have caught the gorgeous M6 after some mild contact. Though not visibly dented, the right rear wheel seems to be a little worse for wear, which indicates a damaged suspension linkage. What springs to mind is that probably the test driver drifted a bit and launched the rear wheel into one of the many well-known high curbs of the Ring or could have possibly tapped it.
The vehicle is fantastic and is rumored to pack an impressive V8 which is a 4.4 litre twin turbocharged powerhouse that was recently featured in the new M5. The new 2012 BMW M6 shows off an impressive 560 horsepower and a torque that comes in at about 502 pounds per feet. The M6 is comparatively lighter and showcases zero to 60 mph in a quick 4 seconds. It also jumps to the mark with an impressive zero to 124 mph in less than 13 seconds. It does, however, have a top speed with an electronic limit of 155 mph. Individuals have the option to avail of the 2012 BMW M6 with the performance package which would increase the top speed to 180 mph.
The M6 is a rear wheel drive and that is mainly due to the seven speed transmission that is dual clutch which features paddle shifters as well as launch control. There is no specific date pinned down for that actual launch of the manual M5 in the US market, and also no mentioning of BMW M6 price. So, we will just have to wait and see.
